To-do:

You are to practice and showcase thorough understanding of creating vehicle and props design via series of continues exercises given. You are to pick and draw 3 types of vehicle designed for either land, air or water. Here you will be exercising fundamentals as listed below:
  • Deconstructing and constructing vehicles from references (5 x 3types = 15 thumbnail sketches)
  • Form and Function ( Pick 1 type X 10 thumbnails)
  • Perspective (Pick 1 type X 5 sketches min )
  • Line Weight ( Pick 1 and add line weights to the perspective drawing done)
  • Applying Colors ( Pick 1 and apply varieties to obtain appealing colors)
  • Texturing (pick 1 and test with materials and texture bashing)
Submissions:
Collective Art work in .pdf format. Each exercises should be in 1920 X 1080 pixels. All artworks will be posted in your e-portfolio by the end of the exercises duration.

TASK

Deconstruct and Reconstruct

First, I started practising basic perspective. I drew basic shapes and transformed them into three-dimensional figures.

The basic principle is to combine various 2D views according to the perspective angle to form a 3D object.

Then, we were tasked with deconstructing and reconstructing an object. I chose my camera to deconstruct and reconstruct.

Next, we needed to choose five land vehicles to deconstruct and reconstruct.
and also the same for air vehicle
From this exercise, I learned about the structure of land vehicles and air vehicles, as well as their details, such as the shape of tyres, the design of headlights, the structure of propellers, and how different parts are connected, among other things.

In the Week 3 class, Mr. Kanan asked us to choose an existing vehicle, extract its silhouette, and modify it to create a new silhouette.

I chose a picture of a car and tried adding elements like weapons, and shields, and even incorporating animals like dinosaurs to create a new design.

I also conducted a study of different materials. Here are some of the studies I’ve done previously, bit by bit.

Selecting an existing vehicle image and drawing it from different perspective angles, this exercise helps to strengthen our perspective skills.
