REFLECTION

Experience
Learning typography has been an enriching experience for me. While I faced occasional challenges and moments of dissatisfaction with my work, I embraced the journey of growth. The highlight of my learning experience was creating my own font, a project that was both enjoyable and time-consuming. Typogramment also influenced my sensitivity and increased my attention to typographic details.

Observations
Through various tasks, I developed a keen eye for the intricate details and variations in letterforms. I realized that some typefaces, which I had assumed to be symmetrical, are actually asymmetrical upon closer examination and destruction.

Findings
During this semester, I discovered that typography encompasses much more than meets the eye. It extends beyond arranging words and letters visually pleasingly or choosing attractive typefaces. There are extensive rules and terminology, especially regarding letter anatomy, which initially overwhelmed me. Coming from an art background, where I enjoyed the freedom to create based on personal taste, I had to approach typography with patience and resilience. Although different from art, typography shares the importance of honing observational skills and attention to detail.
