REFLECTION
This module is a continuation of the previous one, Design Research Methodology, where we were required to take our Dissertation Proposal and collected data and write a complete Dissertation. I found that if the proposal was well-written in the previous semester, this semester would be relatively easier. It felt like I could simply copy and paste the Problem Statement, Methodology, and Data Analysis from the previous proposal into the final paper, without having to rewrite them.
The most challenging part of this paper was figuring out how to express the research results and interpret them in writing. I'm not very good at writing, so this made the module quite difficult for me. To help with this, I used AI tools, to help me outline the structure, and then I wrote the content myself. However, since my English isn’t very strong, I wrote the content in my native language, Chinese, first, and then used a translator to convert it into English. This sometimes resulted in awkward sentences, and even this reflection was written in Chinese first and then translated into English. After translating, I made sure to check the sentences for fluency before incorporating them into the paper.
After 14 weeks of struggle—actually, I was still rushing to finish in week 15—I finally completed all the tasks. I hope to achieve a good grade.
